DRYERS |
| |
Dryer Venting: |
Your dryer venting material should be made of
aluminum not plastic. The white vinyl/plastic is used in several installations and no longer meets most building codes. It may also ignite due to the type of material. Unplug unit and check for lint builds up in the venting pipe twice a year to prevent restriction in orders to maintain maximum efficiency and safety. |
| |
Lint brushes are available for cleaning the vents in 10-20 foot lengths. These are available through our parts dept. If needed |

REFRIGERATORS |
Refrigerators/Freezers with automatic defrost: |
Depending on the type of refrigerator/freezer it will defrost every 6, 8 or 10 hours automatically. The heater yes heater will energize and melt away any frost buildup inside your freezer at the coils. The water will drain into a pan underneath the cabinet and automatically evaporate. It is not necessary to remove the water but if the pan can be removed you can periodically clean it with soap and water. |
Underneath the cabinet either in the front of the frig or the back is a condenser coil and a cooling fan. Sometimes you will find the coil on the back of the frig, and in the type there will not be a cooling Fan. Unplug the appliance and clean the coil (Looks like a grate or radiator and is black) with an appliance brush and
vacume cleaner to remove all dirt and dust. |

DOORS |
The gaskets or seals inside the doors should be cleaned regularly so to prevent friction and prolong the life of the seal, If you should find
frost buildup in the freezer around the outer edge of the cabinet, this may indicate air leakage. If you should find water droplets or moisture around the refrigerator section this may also indicate a bad seal. |
Periodic cleaning of the inside of the entire frig may need to be done with soap and water, to eliminate odors. Soap and water can be used and any residual odor problems may be eliminated with baking soda or deodorizers available through our parts department. |
